meep I wrote this awhile ago. Ironic that Malice (guy in black) has been framed for it now on S1.

Yeah, I can't tell you much, 'cause it'd be a bit of a spoiler, but Malice is holding Egon's parents hostage for reasons yet to be revealed to S2. The only reason Egon tolerates it is because Malice is keeping them alive and has no intention of killing them. Recently, Craer snuck in and they ended up dead. So now Craer goes back, tells Egon, and Egon goes and makes Malice go bye-bye.
And through some strange twist of fate, this triggers the final plot on S1. Go figure.

Gotta love it when evildoers do themselves in by killing someone the hero loves, thereby royally pissing off the hero, making him fight 10 times better.
